I've crossed the finish line!  50,224 words, 100 pages in Word (8.5 x 11 inch paper).  Its drivel, but its my very own drivel.  I'm so proud of myself I can hardly stand it!  There's a beginning, a middle, an end.  Twenty two chapters and an epilogue.  Actual plot was involved.  Two main characters, several ancillary characters, one sub-plot, a flash-back, even a genuine bad guy (or was he?)

For someone that had never heard of National Novel Writing Month www.nanowrimo.org/  … the morning of November 1st, I feel pretty dang good to have created an actual first draft novel by November 28th.  Even if I do nothing else with it, I'm reserving bragging rights for the rest of my life.

Thanks again to Corbie :iconcorbie: (the genius behind Riven Sol www.rivensol.com/ ) for getting me involved in this. Her fiendish plot was successful.

Thanks also to all my writing buddies at the Addison B&N Tuesday night write-ins.  They were a definite source of inspiration.

Finally thanks to my husband and my dad for their patience and encouragement.

I've celebrated by buying four new books - Winter's Orphans [link] , Prince of Ash [link] , The Sundered Stone [link] , and Daughter of Snow [link] , all by the celebrated author Elaine Corvidae [link] . I've been depriving myself of new reading material all month and what better way to break my fast?
