Ah but you didn't mention your inspiration! 
The comic at one point had a comment on a piece of filler art I had done that mentioned a similarity between Darth Vader and the Rebreather set up that David (in the picture "Life and Pride" uses to extend his ability to stay on land.
Shaharw took up the mantle and decided that my characters needed to replace the current cast of Star Wars! Oh, man I was laughing so hard when I saw this! Totally nailed it!
